Holiday Yule Log Bonfire & Holiday Marketplace

• Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025

• Location: Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk Waterfront, Virginia
• Cost: Free!

This is a classic holiday event locals love to attend. Town Point Park transforms into a festive wonderland one day a year, with a huge yule log bonfire and exciting holiday marketplace!

The whole event is free, and Santa even pays a visit! Your little ones will love getting to see and interact with him right up close. Peruse local artisan vendors, listen to (or sing!) Christmas carols, and sip on hot chocolate or whiskey while you’re here. Note: dogs are not allowed at the marketplace unless they’re registered service animals.

Bayport Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach

• Date: Friday, November 14 – Wednesday, December 31, 2025
• Time: 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9 p.m.
• Location: On the boardwalk at 2nd Street
• Cost: $37.50 per car/compact SUV; $50 for a full size truck, SUV, or van

This holiday lights exhibit is different than others you’ve seen—they feature jumping fish and musical crabs to highlight their connection to Virginia Beach. The 2025 Holiday Lights at the Beach promises unforgettable moments, featuring a Surfing Santa, color-changing archways, glowing tributes to the Armed Forces, a stunning 40-foot dancing-light Christmas tree, and the largest, longest curved LED Light Tunnel in the U.S.—and so much more! Get Your Exercise On at the Surf n Santa 5 Miler!

If you love to stay active during the holidays, then this event is perfect for you. Hundreds of people running a road race all dressed as Santa sounds like a great time to us!

Run the 5-mile race through the holiday lights on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and experience the area at its holiday best. If you don’t want to complete the full 5 miles, you can always participate in Rudolph’s 1k, a much more manageable distance for beginner runners!

After the race is over, get ready for the after-party! A live band will keep everyone entertained (the exact band will be announced later this fall), and your holiday soup and libations are included in your race registration. There’s nothing better than running a road race and then downing a cold beer! The post-race party takes place from 5-8 PM, so you’ll have plenty of time to mix and mingle with your fellow Santa-inspired runners.
